PSV extends Jordan Teze until 2025 and hopes for Luuk de Jong

PSV will extend Jordan Teze’s contract until 2025. The contract extension will be announced later this week. The club is also in contact with Luuk de Jong. As soon as the striker indicates that he wants to come to Eindhoven, PSV is waiting with open arms.

Jordan Teze is making good progress at PSV this season. That will be rewarded with a contract extension. The central defender still had a contract until 2024. That will now be extended for another year.

The Brabant defender was also called up for the Dutch national team for the first time this year. He didn’t come until minutes. Teze was injured in the run-up to the international matches. For the matches in the Nations League next month, he is again in the pre-selection.

Technical director John de Jong says that he is satisfied with the development of the central defender. “He is going through a nice development. We didn’t get an extra central defender in the winter break after Ramalho got injured. You can see that Jordan Teze has also seized this opportunity and has become a defining base player.”

Luke de Jong
After the departure of Eran Zahavi, PSV has to look for a new striker. The main candidate for this vacancy is Luuk de Jong. The Eindhoven club is in close contact with the Dutch striker who is also the club’s ambassador.

“Luuk has certainly not slammed the door yet. If he wants to return to PSV, we will welcome him with open arms.”

Furthermore, the technical director indicated that he has good hopes that Cody Gakpo and Ibrahim Sangaré will stay. “They are certainly open to a longer stay. We don’t have to sell them either. We don’t need a big transfer for our finances this summer.
