PSG keeper Gianluigi Donnarumma Bavaria’s Jamal Musiala injured in a male duel. Now the goalkeeper consultant has commented on the scene.
The serious injury to Jamal Musiala in the quarterfinals of FC Bayern Munich at the club World Cup against Paris Saint-Germain (0: 2) also echoed two days later. Gianluigi Donnarumma, goalkeeper of PSG, now commented on the collision with the German international.
The 26-year-old explained to the Italian sports newspaper “Gazzetta Dello Sport” that he was “very shocked about what happened”. At the same time, he assured that it was “certainly not” his intention to violate Musiala.
The offensive player of FC Bayern had broken his left fabric in the duel with Donnarumma. The Munich team then criticized the fact that the PSG keeper took a high risk during the campaign and accepted the injury.
Donnarga’s consultant Vincenzo Raiola emphasized in the “Gazzetta dello Sport” that it was a situation with “tenths of a second”. Raiola made it clear that his client was “the first on the ball” and was no longer able to avoid the collision. It was “unfair” to believe that Donnarumma intentionally wanted to hurt Musiala. The goalkeeper is “very concerned and sad” – and according to Raiola a “very sensitive boy”.
Even in the cabin, Donnarumma took his cell phone after the game, contacted his agent and emphasized that it was an accident. On the behavior of the Bavaria captain, Raiola said: “Actually, I understand new ones.” Finally he defend his teammate. The advisor added that Donnarumma did not apologize immediately after the game – but “we are all different – and everyone behaves as they can.”
