PS5 defective, “suddenly turns off”. Sony hides the problem?

Class action from the United States against Sony, guilty of hiding, according to Christina Trejo, a serious PS5 technical problem.

Too bad for Sony, and there is no mention of Stray. The scarce availability of PS5, still a mysterious object on the shelves of physical and digital stores, is not enough, apparently there is a question of reliability at the gates to be resolved quickly. A new class action it was in fact filed against the Japanese giant, guilty of not having solved a known problem of sudden console crashes. The source of the problem and its spread are not known, but the class action claims that Sony is aware and would not take any action to resolve it.

Defective PS5: take the class action –

According to Christina Trejo, depositary of the class action dating back to July 12 in an Illinois court (United States), PS5 would suffer from a problem that would lead to turn off suddenly during play sessions. Trejo’s contention is that PlayStation 5 “can be used for many entertainment purposes, but gaming is the console’s primary function. The defect of the console impacts users’ ability to play and compromises the primary function, and overall use, of the PS5 “, and this would be enough to request not only refunds, but also for Sony to expose consumers to the problem before making the purchase.

“Sony knows and does nothing” –

As stated in the class action, in fact, Sony would be “aware of the defect of the console” but he would not “reveal the defect to consumers before buying the PS5 ″, nor would it have “taken substantial action to remedy the problem”. Therefore, the lawsuit is being filed for breach of Illinois consumer protection and warranty laws, and unfair enrichment, and the idea is to take the case to a federal level. It is not clear if there is room to do so but in the meantime, says Trejo, citizens with defective PS5s would be far from few and would have already joined his legal battle.
