PrüstelGP formulates goals for the 2023 Moto3 season

The PrüstelGP team presented itself for the 2023 Moto3 season at the Sachsenring, where the racing team is also based. Also this year the CFMoto brand will be represented. The two bikes are technically the KTM RC250GP.

The racing team from Saxony is about to enter the sixth season in the smallest class of the motorcycle world championship. The Spaniard Xavier Artigas stayed on board. His new teammate is Joel Kelso from Australia.

PrüstelGP ended the past year in seventh place in the team ranking. Third place for Carlos Tatay in Indonesia was the best individual result. The goals for 2023 are clear. The racing team wants to make the jump back to the top.

“We want to improve from a sporting point of view for the coming season,” says team manager Florian Prüstel. “It’s Xavi’s third year in this class and our goal is to finish in the top five.”

“With Joel, who had his rookie year last season, I’m hoping for the coming season that we can achieve consistent results in the points in every race.” Both drivers are 19 years old.

Artigas finished six times in the top 10 last season. Two fifth places were the Spaniard’s best individual results. “First it will be about getting to the tests and seeing how we can do there,” says Artigas.

The Moto3 class tests will take place on March 9th and 10th in Jerez and on March 17th and 19th in Portimao. “We’re laying a good foundation with that. I now feel a lot more comfortable on my CFMoto than I did at the start of last season.”

“We know each other well within the team and so we know exactly which adjustment screws we need to put our hands on first in order to further improve our performance,” says Artigas. “I’m really looking forward to the season ahead. So let’s get started!”

Kelso rode a KTM on the CIP team last year. He made it into the top 10 three times. He had to miss one race (Silverstone) due to an injury. Now the Australian wants to take the next step in his second World Cup season.

“My goal is to fully exploit both the team’s potential and the potential of myself as a driver,” says Kelso. “For me personally, joining this team was the best decision. I’m very confident that we can get the season off to a good start.”

The team design has been further developed and is now even more dynamic and sporty than last year thanks to the strong contrasting colours.
