Thanks to Furuhashi: Celtic win League Cup against arch-rivals Rangers

Scotland

Celtic Glasgow have won the Scottish League Cup. The green-whites defeated arch-rivals Rangers 2-1 (1-0) in the final on Sunday. Player of the game was the Japanese Kyogo Furuhashi, who led Celtic to winning ways with two goals (44th/56th). Alfredo Morelos scored the goal in the 64th minute.

“As a team we want to win as many titles as possible with everyone involved with Celtic. As my personal goal I would like to score 30 goals this season, but of course I don’t know what will happen in the future. So I just want to score as many goals as possible and contribute to the team’s victory,” Furuhashi said in a recent Transfermarkt interview. The national player currently has 24 goals and four assists in 35 games across all competitions.
