ProSiebenSat.1 share higher: billionaire Kellnerová increases stake

The PPF Group, which it controls, increased its stake including financial instruments to 15.04 percent, according to a statement on Friday. The PPF holding company has 11.6 percent of the voting rights. The growing share shows that PPF is a long-term investor who can support ProSiebenSat.1 with his experience in the television business, said Didier Stoessel, who is responsible for PPF’s investments, according to the announcement. On Friday morning, before the market opened, the ProSieben shares showed a gain of a good one percent.

According to its own statements, the PPF Group operates several television and online media companies in Central and Southeast Europe, such as Central European Media with a large number of television channels. It sees itself as an active investor in the areas of telecommunications, media and technology.

The group controlled by Kellnerová announced a stake in ProSiebenSat.1 in February, when it held a total of 9.1 percent in shares and other financial instruments. Most recently, PPF had already increased.

PPF is the second largest shareholder of ProSiebenSat.1 behind MediaForEurope (MFE-MEDIAFOREUROPE) (MFE). The family of the former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi The controlled group holds almost 30 percent of the Unterföhringer company, including financial instruments.

The ProSiebenSat.1 share temporarily gained 2.30 percent in trading on the XETRA to EUR 8.01.
