Loewe appoints Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez, the founders of the Proenza Schouler brand, the new creative tip of the Spanish fashion house.
McCollough and Hernandez are responsible for the creative direction for all collections in the areas of women’s fashion, men’s fashion, leather goods and accessories, the Loewe mother LVMH announced on Monday. They compete with effect from April 7th.
“I am very happy to welcome Jack and Lazaro to Loewe,” said Loewe-Ceo Pascale Lepoivre. “Your vision and creativity go perfectly with the codes of the house that we have built up, and I am looking forward to how you will shape its future.”
The new creative directors got to know each other at the New York fashion school in Parsons School of Design. During their studies, they founded the Luxury brand Proenza Schouler, based in the USA in 2002. McCollough and Hernandez handed over the creative management of the brand at the end of January.
