German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier just made a state visit to Great Britain. Princess Catherine and Prince William were included in the expenses of the state visit.
The attention of royal fans was drawn to the tiara worn by Catherine at the state visit dinner.
Tiara rarely seen on royalty
People magazine writesthat it is Queen Victoria’s Oriental Circlet tiara, which Catherine now wore in public for the first time.
The spectacular Tiara dates from 1853 and has over 2,600 diamonds. The tiara has hardly been seen on royal dresses. The late Queen Elizabeth only wore the tiara once during her reign, when she was on a state visit to Malta in 2005.
According to People, it is the Fifth tiara that Catherine has worn. The tiara is so far the biggest tiara she has worn. Catherine has previously been seen with, among others, the Lotus Flower Tiara and Queen Mary’s Lover’s Knot Tiara.

Another thing that attracted attention was Catherine’s blue evening dress. The sparkling evening dress had plenty of glitter and a long light cape. In addition to the tiara, the princess had appropriate insignia.
The evening dress is the work of fashion designer Jenny Packham. Catherine has worn Packham’s creations before.
