‘Possibly straight from the tube’

The flags can be used at half-mast again at SBS 6. Rapper Donnie’s presentation debut scores so badly that viewing authority Tina Nijkamp is completely in shock. “I had to look three times.”

The joy of the success of the SBS 6 show The Tribute: Battle of the Bands is short-lived. The successor, De NIX Factor, scores so badly that it is almost inevitable that the channel top has been crying all day long. Only 223 thousand people (3.8 percent market share) watched the premiere episode.

‘Never happened before’

Tina Nijkamp, the most important audience rating authority in our country, is perplexed. “Last week 1 million viewers for The Tribute, but now really VIEWING FIGURE HORROR for SBS 6”, she writes partly in capitals. “Even Ministars scored higher. I had to look three times, but it’s really there: only 223 thousand viewers for their new Saturday night show.

How does the former SBS 6 boss qualify this? “This is really dramatic for a first episode that was also heavily promoted including a radio campaign. I don’t think a ‘singing talent show’ has ever started so low in terms of viewing figures.”

‘What are you texting then?’

Tina, praised by Carlo Boszhard, wonders how this goes behind the scenes. “Rapper Donnie must have imagined his debut as a presenter differently. What do you also app to each other this morning as a channel, team and to creator of the format John de Mol? Terrible viewing figures morning for everyone involved.”

These figures are of course not entirely surprising, says Tina to her ratings juice channel. “In 2005, John de Mol launched this format on his TV channel of the time, Talpa, and it also flopped MIGANTICALLY. Although the program then had at least 500,000 viewers for the first episode.”

Off the schedule?’

It wouldn’t surprise Tina if Donnie disappears from the TV guides after just one week. “Viewer reviews are also particularly bad. No app traffic, so no cake at SBS6, but probably an emergency meeting on Monday whether or not this will be removed from the schedule. The big question remains: why did they decide on a season 2 18 years later?”

Immediately afterwards, De Alleskunner attracted only 328 thousand viewers (7 percent), also to cry. “And so in 2023, Laughing Om Home Videos (513 thousand) is the most watched SBS 6 program of the day.”

Who is the Mole on #1

Wie is de Mol again takes gold on prime time with 2.1 million viewers (37 percent) on NPO 1. The Patrick Lodiers quiz The Connection then drops somewhat with 703 thousand viewers (15 percent) this time.

The other most watched prime time titles were RTL 4’s Weet Ik Veel (942 thousand and 17 percent), ESPN’s Feyenoord – AZ (939 thousand) and NPO 3’s MolTalk (720 thousand).
