Pop-up cinema opened in Knokke-Heist

The blockbusters ‘Barbie’ and ‘Mission Impossible, Dead Reckoning Part One’ are also on the program, just like the new film by Wes Anderson, ‘Asteroid City’ and ‘Oppenheimer’ by Christopher Nolan.

‘Lumière aan Zee’ in Scharpoord Cultural Center has 426 seats. Benny Salaets, CEO of Lumière: “We gladly accepted the invitation of the municipality of Knokke-Heist to transform the cultural center into a pop-up cinema during the summer months. This way we can follow our audience on holiday, create an extra relaxation offer on the coast and introduce new visitors to Lumière.”

Astrid Mestdach, alderman for culture Knokke-Heist: “Knokke-Heist, experience at its best’, that is the new slogan of the municipality, and film certainly belongs to that. Accessible relaxation and culture, experiencing beautiful and exciting stories, for residents and visitors, close to the beach and the bustling center. We are pleased to have found the right partner in Lumière to expand our range and make it an even better summer together.”
