Police stop wedding parade with swanky carts – several arrests!

This wedding parade between Neukölln and Treptow ended in a cinematic way!

It all started on Sunday evening at Hermanplatz in Neukölln. There, the parade with up to 30 Protz carts caused a lot of traffic obstructions. Around 6:30 p.m., witnesses called the police.

The emergency services were finally able to find the party on Dammweg in Treptow, but stopping them was difficult.

When the police tried to stop the wedding parade, several participants fled in their cars. At the intersection of Köpenicker Landstrasse and Dammweg, they turned and raced away in the opposite direction. According to the police, they also drove over the sidewalk and raced towards the police officers. They could only save themselves by jumping to the side.

Several arrests at wedding parade

► Several suspects were arrested, including the 26-year-old driver of a BMW, who initially fled in his car. Vain. However, the police had to drag him out of the car. The man put up considerable resistance when he was arrested.

He then presented the officers with another man’s ID card. A voluntary urine sample revealed that the man had consumed drugs. In police custody, blood was drawn from the 26-year-old and his identity was determined.

The result: There was an open arrest warrant against him. He was handed over to the judiciary.

► A 20-year-old Audi driver also sped away from the police and broke through the police barrier. The driver and his 22-year-old passenger were arrested a little later when they tried to flee on foot.

The 26-year-old brother of the Audi driver tried to prevent the arrest. However, the police stopped the aggressive man with tear gas.

Police officers found a bottle of Tilidin in the rented Audi. The 20-year-old’s driver’s license and the Audi were confiscated.

► The police officers also collected a rented Lamborghini. The driver had also sped away from the control with the sports car. The two occupants tried to flee on foot. With success. However, the police know the personal data of the tenant.

The investigations into, among other things, dangerous interventions in road traffic, resistance, attempted release of prisoners and a violation of the Narcotics Act are ongoing.
