In recent years, police have carefully monitored the driving behavior and speed of rally fans and racing drivers during the Estonian World Cup. And this year is not an exception.

On Thursday, the competition director published a service in which he resembled drivers. If the driver collapses by switching to speeding, the consequences can be really tough for the car from a competitive point of view.

– All competitors are resembledly reminded of the traffic rules and speed limits. Police monitor the driving method and speeds throughout the rally.

– The police can stop the car that drives too hard and keep it at a stop for 45 minutes so that the driver can “calm down”, the communication states.

If a pair of competitors has to stop for a transition to up to three quarters, the car is very likely to be late at the next time inspection station. This in turn leads to a time penalty.

Already, more drivers were fined for the seed of the competition for speeding. However, the fines did not come from the police, but from the competition leadership, which is informed of the speeding of the GPS monitoring device.

The Estonian World Rally will start on Thursday evening with a short audience specialty test in Tartu.
