Police dodge trucks and capture pedestrians

A pedestrian (26) was injured in the head in an accident with a police car.

According to initial findings, the emergency vehicle is said to have been driving on Friday evening around 7:50 p.m. with the blue lights and siren on in the right lane of Berliner Strasse in Tegel.

Then a truck driver (53) turned from the left lane to the right into the entrance of a supermarket.

In order to prevent a collision, the police car drove onto the sidewalk and hit the pedestrian. The 26-year-old suffered head injuries and was taken to hospital for outpatient treatment.

The investigation into the accident is ongoing.
