Is Thomas Müller at FC Bayern Munich before saying goodbye? There is currently a lot of pointing out. Now a long -time teammate has commented on the attacker’s situation – and is criticizing.

For Lukas Podolski, the situation around Thomas Müller at Bayern is difficult to understand. The former international was disappointed with the supposedly upcoming separation between the German record champion and his long -time offensive player.

“In the end, it is a shame that the club decreases to him and not the other way around. That Thomas Müller does not have it in his hand because I think he deserves it,” said Podolski on the sidelines of the Baller League in Berlin. However, he emphasized that he did not know the exact content of the conversations between the club and player.

Müller is a player who “has achieved everything with the club who is a face of the club,” said the 39-year-old. Podolski basically sees a problem in dealing with deserved professionals: they would rarely receive the recognition that they actually deserve.

“If only people are remembered when they are underground, that you can say: Okay, now a road is suddenly named after you, now the stadium is suddenly named after a stand,” said Podolski. “But you sometimes underestimate or forget to reward and appreciate players who are currently there.”

Podolski and Müller played together in the German national team for many years and won the title at the World Cup in Brazil in 2014. In the 2008/09 season, the two were on the pitch for FC Bayern: Müller in his first, Podolski for the Munich team last season.
