PME: prefer diversification and stable pensions, ‘even if this is at the expense of returns in the short term’

The coverage ratio of pension fund PME, which serves 635,000 participants and manages 60.3 billion euros, increased from 113 to 125.3 percent in 2025. This puts the fund in the upper echelons of large Dutch pension funds such as ABP, PFZW, PMT and bpfBouw. At the same time, PME consciously benefited less from the stock market rally, especially in technology shares.
