During this test setup, traffic flows are spread through targeted communication, (dynamic) signaling and navigation support. Plopsa also informs its visitors and resort guests via the website, social media and targeted mailings. Visitors are asked to carefully follow the temporary instructions on site, so that traffic can run as smoothly and safely as possible. After the project, it will be evaluated whether this approach has a positive effect on current traffic problems. The pilot project is emphatically a test setup and not a definitive solution. If positive results are obtained, further steps can be taken towards structural measures.

This initiative is a joint collaboration between the Roads and Traffic Agency (AWV), the Mobility and Public Works Department (MOW), the Flemish Traffic Center, the Environment Department, the municipalities of De Panne, Veurne and Koksijde, the local police and Plopsa.
