The “Playboy” with France’s Secretary of State Marlène Schiappa (40) on the front page has become a bestseller.
The 100,000 copies were sold out within three hours on the day of publication, and 60,000 are now being reprinted, said “Playboy” director Jean-Christophe Florentin on Monday in Paris on the France Info station.
Normally only around 30,000 copies would be sold from an issue.

Even though it was already known that there were no nude photos of the politician, there was a rush for the number with a humorous interview with Schiappa, who had to take a lot of criticism for her “Playboy” appearance.
The Secretary of State posed for the magazine in a white dress and spoke about feminism and women’s rights. In the interview, she answered questions such as “Does politics increase pleasure?”, “Is it a pleasure to exercise power?” and “Are you a seductress?”.
