Pieter Storms causes astonishment with the statements he makes about Ali B. According to the former crowbar star, the rapper does not belong in prison. “This is highly bad nonsense.”
It was a considerable surprise during the Ali B process last summer: former TV personality Pieter Storms popped up there to support the rapper. And although there is now a conviction, Pieter still remains square behind him. “Ali does not deserve a prison sentence for what he would have done,” he says in the newest Story.
“Ali doesn’t deserve!”
Why doesn’t Ali earn that? “He has undoubtedly approached those ladies and something may have happened, but it is greatly inflated in the hectic pace of the Metoo era. I think that Ali has just earned a tap on his fingers and must be made clear that his rooster behavior does not belong.”
The judge has let the ears hang too much to what society wants, Pieter believes. “The sentiment around this case was so that it almost seemed that he should be convicted. The judiciary is also sensitive to that. The judge has not withdrawn from what is going on in society.”
Morocco
Pieter knows that Ali stays a lot in Morocco. “Fortunately, Ali still has activities there. In Morocco he can still develop. In the Netherlands that is difficult. That is pretty tragic. He is being afterdated here and the contacts have been broken.”
Sébas Diekstra, the lawyer of one of Ali’s victims, responds stunned: “The statements of Mr Storms are totally independent of reality.”
Nonsense
According to Sébas, that Pieter is completely rid of the path. “This has nothing to do with Metoo, but with serious sexual crimes for which Ali B was prosecuted and was eventually convicted by the criminal court.”
“Putting the criminal court away as influenced by sentiment is not only bad, but also nonsense.”
