A good two and a half years after leaving his position as sports director at Hansa Rostock, Martin Pieckenhagen has a new job. The 53-year-old will become sports director at Kickers Offenbach on November 21st. He succeeds Christian Hock. The club from the Regionalliga Südwest is currently in 13th place in the table despite having the fourth most valuable squad.
“I’m really looking forward to my job at the Kickers and am grateful for the trust that the club has placed in me. The OFC is a traditional club with passionate fans and great potential that needs to finally be awakened. The fact that I can now start earlier than planned gives us the opportunity to take the next steps together and shape the sporting future at an early stage. Now I’m looking forward to getting to know all the employees from the coaching staff, the team and the office,” said the former goalkeeper from, among other things HSV.
