Peter Pannekoek seems to be returning to the Golden Televizier-Ring Gala next year, so his replacement Chantal Janzen can expect an annual snack.
The Golden Televizier-Ring Gala looked a little different in the fall than we were used to in recent years: Jan Smit did not do the show together with joker Peter Pannekoek, but with Chantal Janzen, borrowed from RTL. She did a nice job, with a joke here and there, an imitation of Fleur Agema and a musical intermezzo.
Peter returns
Will we see Chantal again at the TV gala next year? No. And not only because she will be playing in the musical Cabaret by that time, but also because Peter is now with Show news indicates that a return is possible.
Peter says: “I’ll be back on Dit Was Het Nieuws in the spring anyway. I’m really looking forward to discussing the news with the men again. And I’m going to talk about the Televizier gala soon. I’ve always really enjoyed it and I think the other way around, but we’ll see.”

Show expert Bart Ettekoven thinks this is very good news. “Chantal did a great job. I mean: hats off, just stand there, but yes, Peter’s humor from the year before… Yes, merciless, wonderful.”
Still, he would rather see Peter not in Chantal’s place, but in Jan’s place. “Prefer Chantal and Peter!”

Why Peter wasn’t there this year? He wanted to save all his jokes for the New Year’s Eve conference. “The Douwe Bob riot is definitely there,” said the comedian. “Of course a bit of Trump. The deposit fiasco. The insecurity of women too. That is a theme that I find important.”
Celebrities will also have their turn. “Well, they all made it themselves, the ones I treat. There are people who perhaps look a little less enthusiastic than others.”
Marco Borsato
Marco Borsato is undoubtedly in it too. “Yes, Marco is in it, but not necessarily very negative. More like everyone in the Netherlands: that trial was a bit weird from both sides. Okay, acquitted, but to say: gosh, what wonderful things came to light…”
Finally: has his new girlfriend, about whom he is always so mysterious, already seen the conference? “She has already seen it in the theater, yes.”
