Odor nuisance Wijster
Residents of the Energy Transition Park (ETP) near Wijster have been experiencing odor nuisance from companies at this location for years. For example, Attero and offal processor Noblesse are located on the site. Regional Implementation Service Drenthe (RUD) previously concluded that the odor load is too high.
In response to that conclusion, Midden-Drenthe and the province of Drenthe said they would continue to map the odor load. This was taken into account when granting a new permit. It has also been said to investigate the sources of the odors and to make the complaints procedure more efficient.
