Rien den Brok has been living in an apartment above the Albert Heijn on Burchtplein in Oss for almost twenty years. But after 19 years of quiet living, he and the rest of the neighborhood have had a nuisance from Wild Plassers and Poopers and people who sleep in front of the complex and in the parking lot.
Rien leaves all kinds of photos at the kitchen table DTV News Seeing that he has collected their story since last year with local residents, who do not want to tell on camera, but who do confirm the nuisance. “Here, two people who pee. On this other photo you can see three. And I find this one very dirty,” he says, while the Poep with toilet paper can be seen in the parking lot behind his apartment.
Last week it was hit again. One of the residents of the apartment complex saw a man preparing his sleeping mat in the parking lot. She called the police, but he couldn’t mean anything. Eventually the man slept there all night.
The parking lot is remote, behind the Albert Heijn near the Burchtplein and is a private property. Yet it is not closed and everyone can easily reach it. According to Rien, it is therefore an easy place for nuisance. “They are going to pee and that is not belonging. I can’t open a window through the stench.”
BrabantWonen owns the apartment complex in the Osse Center. Rien has already made various attempts via the newsletter to raise the problem. “But you don’t hear from it. They say they are committed to someone, but I don’t see anyone.”
The neighborhood prefers that the parking area is closed. “We would like a fence with a gate for cyclists here. Everyone who has a car here should get a pass so that the gate can open. It’s hopeless here.”
Response BrabantWonen
BrabantWonen endorses the problems, but says it cannot place a fence. “We are familiar with the situation and have therefore placed extra lighting earlier. We have also investigated the possibility of placing a fence. Unfortunately, that is not possible, because the Albert Heijn has to be supplied. We can well imagine that it is a unpleasant situation. That is why we ask the residents to continue to report nuisance.”
In response to the questions from DTV Nieuws, BrabantWonen resumed the situation with the municipality’s neighborhood team. Various organizations such as the police, municipality and housing corporation work together in this.
