The police had asked via Burgernet around 5 p.m. to look out for a small, gray car with a female driver “in connection with a serious collision.” About forty minutes later, the same platform reported that the vehicle had been found.
‘Multiple times run over’
According to witnesses, the victim was run over several times by the motorist, Omroep Gelderland reported. The victim is said to have been seriously injured. A police spokeswoman declined to release any information.
Many witnesses were present at the incident in the station and shopping area in the street De Halte. The police asked anyone they had not yet spoken to to come forward and called in victim support.
