The municipality of Coevorden decided last December to temporarily stop the approach and enforcement on holiday parks in the municipality of Coevorden. This happened after outgoing minister Mona Keijzer (BBB) called on municipalities to enter enforcement suspend. She proposed a scheme that should make it possible for some holiday park residents to be able to live on a holiday park. “We had the expectation that we would have had guidelines from the government about the new scheme for a long time,” says a spokesperson for the municipality of Coevorden. “That is why we have set an end date, because you cannot pause forever.”
