The film – released in 2021 – was preceded by great anticipation. The reasons are multiple. First of all, the story itself, which marked Italy in the second half of the 90s and – in part – the world of fashion. Although Patrizia is precisely the person around whom the whole film revolves, neither the director nor Lady Gaga saw the need to meet her. AtHandle he also specified that it was not an economic question, but rather “of common sense and respect”. Adding that «Every good actor must first know the character he is going to play in person. Lady Gaga: «Nobody had to tell me who Patrizia was»

Lady Gaga’s response came via British Vogue: «I felt that I could only do justice to this story if I approached it with the eye of a curious woman, animated by a journalistic spirit. Therefore no one had to tell me who Patrizia Gucci was. Not even Patrizia Gucci”.

With W Magazine was even more explicit. «On the last day of filming I was on the balcony of my apartment in Rome. I listened at full volume Italian mambo sung by Dean Martin.
