Columbus Blue Jackets, the crisis club represented by Patrik Laine, has fired its head coach To Brad Larsen.

Columbus GM Jarmo Kekäläinen told about the decision in the club’s press release.

The finished season of the blue shirts in the NHL was catastrophic. The team was second last in the whole series, i.e. 31st.

Larsen served as Columbus’ head coach for two seasons. Last season, the team was also out of the playoffs.

There was one more season left on Larsen’s three-year contract, but it has now been waived.

With the same opening of the door, Kekäläinen also fired Columbus’ goalkeeper coach Manny Legace.

– This season has been a really big disappointment and we are all responsible for that. These decisions were difficult, and we did not make them lightly, because we respect Brad and Manny not only as coaches but also as people, Kekäläinen said in the press release.
