contract expires
Felix Passlack is one of eight players at Borussia Dortmund whose contract is due to expire next summer. Although the right-back has a difficult time with the Black and Yellows and has only played 136 minutes this season, he can still imagine an extension at BVB. But there is also room for a farewell to his long-term employer.
“Of course it’s difficult,” Passlack said.WAZ‘ his current situation. “Of course, every footballer wants to play games. But that’s how it is at the moment. I’ll continue to work hard on myself so that I can get minutes back like I did in the last few weeks.” The 24-year-old had to wait until October before he was allowed to play for Borussia this season. His first and so far only game over 90 minutes was the last group game in the Champions League at FC Copenhagen, when he managed an assist.
Born in Bottrop, he has been trained at BVB since 2015 and has left the club three times on loan. In the future he would “of course prefer” to be active with the current sixth in the table. “If that doesn’t work, then as a footballer you have to think about it. That’s completely normal,” said Passlack. Coach Edin Terzic relied on Niklas Süle (27) on the right back after Thomas Meunier (31) was injured.

BVB’s Passlack about the cancellation of Olympiacos Piraeus: “It was too short notice”
Passlack had the opportunity to take on a new challenge and go to Olympiacos Piraeus in the previous transfer window, but decided against it: “It was on the last transfer day in Greece, which was open even longer than in Germany, but that was too short notice.” The 47-time Greek champion was extremely active in the last transfer period and signed 17 new players (to the overview).
He left open whether the former DFB junior could also imagine saying goodbye in winter: “It’s difficult to say. Because when the right thing comes up, you naturally worry. Accordingly, we are waiting for the next few weeks and months in order to then make a final decision. Things move fast in football.”
