Parquet investigates video in which boy is beaten up in Ostend

The images date from September this year. “We received the images in September and then started an investigation,” says Eline Goeminne of the Ostend police.

“In the meantime, the investigation is at the prosecutor’s office and we cannot provide much information,” it still sounds.

Uncertainty

The footage shows a boy in a striped sweater lying on a bench and being beaten in the face and stomach by two different youths. He is then pulled from the bench to the floor. He also gets hit hard there.

A smartphone also has to suffer and flies against the ground.

At the moment there is still a lot of uncertainty about the video. It is not certain whether the people in the video know each other.
