Together, in the name of padel. The Hexagon World Series project, presented today in London, also has geopolitical and cultural value: it is in fact a meeting point between Qatar and Saudi Arabia, two countries which historically – even in recent times – have had serious disagreements, in areas that go well beyond the world of sport. Details of the formula will be revealed later, but what is already known is the nature of the initiative: an expanded and innovative mixed team competition, featuring multiple events per year in iconic cities around the world, with equally distributed prize pools. It will, in fact, be the first team circuit entirely regulated by the FIP, included in the official calendar of the International Padel Federation.

Fusion of intent

On the one hand Hexagon Cup, a project born in 2024 and quickly established itself on the world padel scene; on the other ’54’, the global sports and entertainment agency, a direct expression of the Public Investment Fund (PIF) of Saudi Arabia which created LIV Golf. In this project, they join forces with Premier Padel, the main professional circuit of the discipline supported by the Qatari sovereign fund Qatar Sports Investments (QSI). Two previously parallel visions which today find common ground for development in padel: Premier Padel will become a full shareholder of the new circuit, as well as a strategic partner.

The padel circuit

The new team circuit – which will have a dedicated ranking – becomes the first format of this type, completing an ecosystem that already includes the Premier Padel Tour, the CUPRA FIP Tour, the FIP Promises circuit for the NextGen and the new FIP Beyond amateur circuit. A 360-degree sports architecture that offers players and fans a total vision of competitions, from grassroots to elite.

the future

The International Padel Federation will be the government of this new project. Luigi Carraro, president of the FIP which directed it, underlines the importance of the objective achieved: “We have given a strong signal of unity, because padel is a sport that unites. The launch of the Hexagon World Series consolidates and stabilizes our ecosystem with the most prestigious competitions in the sport. Together, we will ensure that padel continues to grow with professionalism, global visibility and a collaborative structure, to ensure the long-term success of the discipline on an international scale”.
