In my 76-year-old deadly ill patient with euthanasia rings, the SCEN doctor (SCEN stands for support and consultation Euthanasia Netherlands) visits to check whether Dutch regulations have been met.
In the conversation, the SCEN doctor asks the patient if he can handle me, his doctor who will perform euthanasia this week. Delighted and in genuine Haags the patient says to the SCEN doctor: “My doctor? I’m so happy with it. Really a murder!”
