The participants are enthusiastic. Elvira calls it ‘nice and small-scale and intimate’. “It’s in the neighborhood and you don’t know who is coming, that made it exciting, but the nerves were also quickly gone.”
Elvira was paired with Nick, who she immediately started talking to. Nick actually thinks ten minutes is too short. “You don’t get to know each other in ten minutes,” he says. But it was still fun and that’s what matters.
After the date, Nick and Elvira both turned over the sign with the heart on it, so the date continued. “It’s just fun, with some music. Something different from Tinder, which is just a kind of meat inspection,” says Nick, laughing.
Not everyone expects the love of their life right away, and that doesn’t have to be the case. Striethouldt: “It may not exactly be love, but a friendship is also nice. And who knows, you might end up with your new date at Christmas.”
