On land, at sea and in the air returns, Ruben Nicolai takes over presentation | Show

On land, at sea and in the air returns to television. In Dear viewers Presenter Ruben Nicolai shared on Sunday evening that he is presenting four new episodes of the program.

“I can tell you here that RTL 4 will record four episodes of this summer On land, at sea and in the air”, said Ruben Nicolai Dear viewers. The new series will be recorded this summer in the Efteling, which has already been the setting for the program several times. It is not yet clear when the program will return to TV. As before, participants will again have to complete a course with a self-built vehicle. Potential candidates can register later this week.

The program was first shown in 1973, then as Fly out. In 1978 it continued under the now well-known name. Over the years, the program was presented by, among others, Willem van Kooten, André van Duin, Jack van Gelder and Ron Boszhard. The last season was recorded in 2010. On land, at sea and in the air was the longest running entertainment program on Dutch television.

Jack van Gelder previously advocated a return of the program. “In principle I liked everything. That is the great thing about On land, at sea and in the air. That everything is fun. The efforts of the people, that it falls apart: all together it is a carefree, pleasant atmosphere. That radiates from the program,” he said to this site. At the time he also said that he would have liked to take on the presentation again.

Last year it was exactly fifty years ago that the very first broadcast of On land, at sea and in the air was shown on the tube. Last July, a one-off special was shown with all the highlights of the program.
