The Ligue 1 has a cluiver in its ranks again. After father Patrick (Losc Lille) and brother Justin (OGC Nice), Ruben also moves to France. The 24-year-old, who, unlike his predecessors, is not on the offensive, but in the defense center, switches to Olympique Lyon after a year in Portugal at the first division club Casa Pia AC.
At Les Gones, Kluivert signed a contract until June 30, 2030. According to Lyons, 3.78 million euros are due as the basic revenue, another 650,000 euros could be added as bonuses – record sum for Casa Pia. Portuguese would also receive 15 percent of a future transfer profit.
Kluivert had only left his home Netherlands for the first time last summer. From the second division club FC Dordrecht we went to Casa Pia for 200,000 euros, where he played 24 games (one goal).
Veretout leaves Olympique Lyon towards Qatar
Midfielder Jordan Veretout, on the other hand, leaves Olympique Lyon after only one year. The 32-year-old moves to the Al-Arabi SC, where he signed a two-year contract. The transfer is 500,000 euros, OL also secured a 50 percent resolution. Veretout completed 38 games (two goals) for Lyon.
