Badminton national player Marvin Seidel made the death of his twins public after a severe stroke of fate.
“Clara and Jacob were only with us for a few days, but brought more love than we would have ever thought possible,” wrote the 29-year-old on Instagram. He and his wife “mourn deeply and will always be grateful for the time we had with them,” wrote the two -time Olympic participant.
An illustration on Instagram shows that the two children were born on August 1st. The girl died only four days later, the boy again another day after. Nothing became known about the cause of death.
Seidel was in Tokyo at the 2021 Olympics and in 2024 in Paris for Germany. In April 2022 he won EM gold in the men’s double with his double partner Mark Lamsfuß.
