Oliver Villadsen moves back from Nuremberg to Denmark to Brøndby if. As a farewell, he has some unsightly words for the “club”.
In the 1st FC Nürnberg, Oliver Villadsen was always in the first half of the past season except in a game in the starting XI. Most of the time the Dane even played over the entire 90 minutes. But that should change in the second half of the season. After he was among the first eleven players the first five second round games, no further starting fine was added.
In the new season, the 23-year-old will no longer appear for the traditional German club, but for the Danish club Brøndby IF. He changed the association for a transfer fee of 750,000 euros. “I don’t think it was really good. That is a shame, of course, because I was hoping. The last few months have been bitter,” Villadsen told the Danish portal “Tipsbladet” after his departure from Nuremberg.
In addition, the right -back emphasized: “A lot happens behind the scenes. Of course, people can have their opinion and that is completely okay. But I can say that I am at least happy about the experience, but I am also happy not to be there anymore.” His excellence in the second half of the season apparently annoyed him, for him coach Miroslav Klose put up the last third of the season as a right-back to 19-year-old Tim Janisch.
Overall, Villadsen’s season statistics can still be read well. He was on the pitch in 26 games, which is over 1,600 minutes of play.
