Oldenburg surprisingly fails against Bamberg

The EWE Baskets Oldenburg suffered a surprising defeat in the basketball Bundesliga. The previous fourth in the table lost at Brose Bamberg with 78:89 (40:49).

Instead of closing the gap to FC Bayern Munich in third place, Oldenburg slipped down to sixth place due to their fifth defeat of the season.

The Lower Saxony, where Alen Pjanic was the best thrower with 18 points, lost three of the four quarters and could only reach a 19:19 in the final section.

Host Bamberg, coached by Oren Amiel, had their best basket scorer in Patrick Miller (17) and thanks to their sixth win of the season improved from 13th to eleventh place in the table.
