FC Bayern made a real effort and extended the contract with a top talent at an early stage: attacker Mathys Tel is now under contract with the Munich team until the end of June 2029. The German record champions announced this on Wednesday.
Mathys Tel, who contributed seven goals and four assists in 31 competitive games for FC Bayern this season, has extended his contract, which was originally dated until the summer of 2027, by two more years until the end of June 2029.
“This contract extension means a lot to me. I’ve learned a lot at FC Bayern – on and off the pitch. Munich has become a home for me and my family, and the fans are also very important to me: I can’t do it without them “Be the player I am,” the French U21 international explained his decision in an official statement from the club on “fcbayern.com”.

It is the first personnel decision that falls under the responsibility of the new sports director Max Eberl. Eberl officially took up the previously vacant position in Munich on March 1st and emphasized early on that Tel played an important role in his plans.
