The National Team will face Spain away in the last match of Group E of the World Cup Qualifiers. Before this match, a remarkable statement came from TFF. According to the statement, 5 players will not take part in this critical match.
HERE IS THE STATEMENT FROM TFF:
Some changes were made in the candidate squad of our National Team, which will face Spain in the last match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers Group E, before today’s trip to Sevilla.
Kaan Ayhan was removed from the candidate squad after the completion of his medical evaluations due to the injury he suffered in his left groin in the match against Bulgaria, and Aral Şimşir’s lower muscle injury.
In the post-training medical evaluations of Abdülkerim Bardakcı and Kerem Aktürkoğlu, who were still in pain and did individual training separately from the team in the morning, it was determined that they would not fully recover until the Spain match, so both our national football players were excluded from the candidate squad.
İsmail Yüksek, who was suspended for a yellow card in the Spain match, left the camp after participating in the training this morning.
In addition, striker Ahmed Kutucu from Galatasaray was included in the A National Team candidate squad and participated in the camp.
