Official FB group struggles with troll comments over Björn Ulvaeus’ new love

After 41 years together it was over. A few months ago, Björn Ulvaeus and his wife Lena separated, and now the 76-year-old presented himself with his new girlfriend at the premiere of a Pippi Longstocking musical, for which he and Benny Andersson wrote the pieces. This caused lively discussions in the official ABBA fan group on Facebook. Numerous distasteful comments had to be deleted.

“Some fans obviously can’t handle Björn’s new relationship and even dragging Agnetha’s name into the drama,” wrote the ABBA fan group administrators. The behavior was “disappointing” and extremely “inappropriate”. You had to delete several comments and removed certain accounts from the group.

Ulvaeus was married to ABBA colleague Agnetha Fältskog from 1971 and has two children with her: Linda Elin and Peter Christian. Eight years later came the separation. A little later he married Lena Källersjö.

“I wish him only the best”

Meanwhile, Lena Ulvaeus also spoke up in a Swedish magazine. She already knew that her ex-husband had fallen in love again. “We don’t disagree and I wish him nothing but the best,” said the 72-year-old.

The Abba lyricist’s new partner, Christina Sas, is a product manager at Universal Music Group. The last Abba album “Voyage” was released there.
