It was too full on Friday evening with carnival lovers in the center of Oeteldonk. The municipality of Den Bosch called on people not to come to the city center to celebrate carnival. The city center was also partially closed in Kielegat because of the big partying crowd.

The event areas in Oeteldonk were closed from eight o’clock on Friday evening, because it was far too busy with hopping carnival lovers.

Those who were already on the road were out of luck. Nobody could do it anymore. That is why NS called on the trains to Den Bosch that people were no longer welcome in the city.

The back of the station was closed. At the entrance gates, employees of NS Feestgoers were waiting for.

Kielegat partly closed
The Havermarkt in Breda was temporarily closed for seven hours. Torenstraat closed temporarily around a quarter to nine, because it is also very busy there.

The Visserstraat was also closed for half past nine because of the crowds. Feestgoers could walk to the Grote Markt via the Lange Brugstraat. The harbor in Breda became full just before half past ten. According to the municipality, there was still room on the Grote Markt.

The municipality of Breda asked carnival lovers to continue the party in a different place. They were able to follow the alternative routes in the polonaise to find a quiet party place.
