Chaos at Oasis-Reunion in Manchester: fan after incident in the hospital instead of at the concert.
A 34-year-old Oasis fan missed the complete reunion show of the Britpop legends in Manchester because he was passed out with a security employee in an incident. The British newspaper “Metro” recently reported.

On July 16, Joel Garner visited the band’s third of five Heaton Park concerts of the band together with his sister Evie and three other friends: inside. While the group was on the way to a bar, several security forces chased a man who had tried to jump into the area over the fence. There was a violent collision in which the uninvolved Garner was “flattened” by one of the security employees.
Criticism of the behavior of the security forces
“There were five to seven security forces who chased after this guy who had jumped over the fence,” said Evie Garner “Metro”. “Then there was a huge mass carambolage, and they slam against the guy and Joel.” Joel lost consciousness and suffered a seizure, whereupon he was immediately taken to the medical tent and later taken to the hospital. Despite the serious injury, the security forces were not very empathetic, according to Evie. “They asked my friend whether Joel had jumped over the fence.” Then they just left. It seemed as if they wanted to arrest the guys and hadn’t taken care of who stood in the way. “
No permanent damage
Garner stayed in the hospital until 4 a.m., his CT examination showed no lasting damage. Nevertheless, he missed his companion: the entire concert inside. “I am totally disappointed that I couldn’t see Oasis,” Garner told Metro. “We were looking forward to the evening and then it all happened within 15 minutes. We paid 700 pounds for the tickets and didn’t hear a single song.”
Several arrests
The Heaton Park concerts were tried to storm by several fans without tickets, which led to arrest. Others gathered in nearby pubs or on a hill called “Gallagher Hill” to track the show from afar. Liam Gallagher dedicated the song “Bring it on down” to the fans on the hill. The incident was examined by the Manchester police, but Joel Garner refused to file a complaint.
