Nuremberg wins against Bielefeld with a last-minute goal

1. FC Nürnberg ended its mini-crisis in the 2nd Bundesliga with a late goal. After two defeats in a row, the old champions won 1-0 (0-0) against relegated Arminia Bielefeld and climbed to tenth place in the table. Lino Tempelmann scored with a header in the 90th minute.

The guests from East Westphalia conceded their first defeat after the change of coach from Uli Forte to Daniel Scherning and are stuck in the bottom of the table with only five points from eight games.

The hosts had much more possession in the first half and fired more shots on goal. But against the compact defense of Bielefeld, the club only had a few clear chances. Kwadwo Duah (15′) and Jens Castrop (44′) had the best chances before the break, but were denied by Arminia keeper Martin Fraisl.

Duah was unlucky shortly after the restart when his goal was ruled out for offside after video evidence (52′). Then the Swiss shot freely over the goal after another mistake made by Bielefeld in the build-up play (68′). At the other end, Masaya Okugawa suddenly had the first top-class chance for the guests with a header (73′).
