In June 2025, no fewer than 655 interruptions of mobile internet were registered in Russia. According to the Russian organization after Svyazi, which monitors internet blocks, that is a worldwide record. “This also fits within the wider pattern of repression,” says expert Hans van Koningsbrugge.
