In October, bears Thishka and Sandra arrived at De Zonnegloed animal park in Vleteren after being liberated from Ukrainian war zone. Sandra, however, is mainly pacing these days. “Her four canine teeth have broken off and that causes severe tooth pain,” explains Karel Ackaert of the park. De Zonnegloed sought and found 3500 euros in one day for the much-needed intervention, thanks to many donations.
