Now “Jurassic Park” is legofied

Lego has evolved from a child’s toy to a pop culture phenomenon. Whether it’s “Star Wars”, “Batman” or “Harry Potter”, numerous franchises have already been legofied for short animated films. Not forgetting the two “Lego” films themselves, which surprised fans and critics alike. With “Jurassic Park”, which Steven Spielberg once directed, another well-known brand is recreated in building block aesthetics.

The 22-minute special, titled Lego Jurassic Park: The Unofficial Retelling, will be released this fall on Peacock. The service is part of the media group NBCUniversal, which recently entered into a cooperation with Lego. Previously, the Danish toy manufacturer cooperated with Warner Bros. Discovery, which held the rights to the DC superhero and “Harry Potter”. Accordingly, Lego will no longer make animated films using these licenses.

A first impression of “Lego Jurassic Park: The Unofficial Retelling” was already available on X, formerly Twitter. There, the studio released a poster and a first look at the Lego version of Dr. Ian Malcolm, played by Jeff Goldblum in the original film.
