According to Nordnet, the problem that struck on Tuesday was the result of a technical problem. The company already recently stressed that it was not a cyber attack.
– The problem was caused by a software component associated with login. The component did not work properly, which is why some of the clients logged in for some of the clients were instantly visible, Nordnet says in his announcement.
On Tuesday, some of the users logged in to Nordnet found that they had ended up in an unknown person’s account instead of their own. A Nordnet customer who contacted Iltalehti said he could have made stock purchases and sales in another person’s account.
The sign-up problem concerned all Nordnet countries, in addition to Finland, Swedish, Norwegian and Denmark. When Nordnet was informed, a panic button was pressed in a Swedish company.
– As a precaution, the web service and the mobile application in all countries were closed pretty much to find out in peace, Nordnet Country Director Suvi Tuppurainen Said Iltalehti on Tuesday.
Nordnet’s services returned on Tuesday at 4:30 pm. The company says it has been prepared for any requests for compensation.
– This has never happened before. This is a very serious matter and we will do our best to prevent a similar situation again, Tuppurainen told Iltalehti on Tuesday night.
