The Finnish striker led his team to victory.

Mikael Granlund scored 1+1 when the Anaheim Ducks defeated the Columbus Blue Jackets 4–3. The Finnish striker was chosen as the best player of the match.

Granlund missed 19 games in the early season due to a lower body injury. When he returned to the pack on December 6, the mood was not the best possible. The Finn went without power points in the first six games, but now he is going.

With the goal in the Columbus game, Granlund surfs in a three-match scoring streak, during which the striker has forged 3+2=5 performances.

– It took a while to get back into the rhythm after the injury, but now I feel better. Let’s hope that the same pace continues, Granlund stated after the game, when he was interviewed in the changing room.

Granlund’s balance for the whole season is 19 games and 16 (7+9) points.
