The sixth -placed Djokovic was lord and master from the first game, although it took a while before he managed to break Evans for the first time. He only managed to cash in his tenth breakpoint in the set. Then it went fast. Evans did not get any further than just five games won.
Djokovic will meet his fellow countryman Miomir Kecmanovic, the bedwinger of Jesper de Jong in the third round. He is in London on his 25th grand slam title.
