Just in September, Nottingham Forest extended captain Joe Worrall until 2026, and the central defender is now being loaned out to Besiktas JK. As the “Tricky Trees” announced, the 27-year-old will spend the second half of the season with the third-place team in the Süper Lig. A purchase option was also agreed in the deal. In Turkey the transfer window is open until February 9th.

Home-grown Worrall has been active for Nottingham’s professionals since 2015. After being with the club for over eight years, he was one of the top 15 most loyal players in the Premier League. He has appeared 226 times for his youth club so far, but this season he has hardly played since matchday 6, which is why he is now heading outside the United Kingdom for the first time. With a market value of 12 million euros, he is now the second most valuable player in the Besiktas squad.
