“We find that annoying and the worries always take our local residents seriously. Although we receive reports, we do not see an increase in the number of reports.
We are there for people with a psychiatric vulnerability and want to limit so much nuisance to the neighborhood. But we can never completely exclude this. We are taking various measures to prevent any nuisance or to minimize it:
– We encourage socially responsible behavior and, in the event of nuisance, enter into a direct conversation with residents.
– Security guards run several rounds every day.
– We work intensively with the local police officer, boas and area broker.
– We consult structurally with local residents, entrepreneurs and municipality.
– We organize neighborhood activities together with residents and clients.
– Local residents can reach us accessible; We pick up reports immediately and withdraw the outcome of this. “
Together with the municipality and the police, we continue to commit ourselves to limit nuisance as much as possible and are always willing to discuss this with local residents. “
- How many reports from the neighborhood arrive (approximately) every week?
“In the past four months we have received five reports from the neighborhood. We always contact the reporter and handle the report neatly. If this is not satisfactory of the reporter, we would like to talk to again.”
- Residents say that the telephone number of this location is often unreachable, is this correct?
“We have previously received signals about the accessibility of the telephone number. As a result, we investigated and improved this. The number of the location on Poeldijkstraat (020 – 512 77 00) is available 24 hours a day.”
- Residents say they get a guard on the phone when they call this number, is this correct?
“An employee of HVO-Querido usually connects the local resident during the day to one of the departments, employees can often handle the complaint directly. Otherwise they note the complaint and picks up a employees or team manager as quickly as possible. A security guard picks up the phone.”
- Residents say that the guard is usually allowed to do nothing about nuisance on the street and usually advises to call the police, is this correct?
“Our security guards are employed for our location on Poeldijkstraat. They can address people at and for our location.
We have chosen that they also walk several rounds a day in the area. Although they do not have enforcement powers, they can signal nuisance and pass this on to the police or municipality. “
- Residents say they have previously reported that women feel unsafe, is this correct?
“We do not recognize this image. We did receive one report at the end of 2024 in which a woman felt unsafe. Of course we always pick up these notifications seriously. If you feel unsafe in the neighborhood as a local resident, because you are confronted with an unpleasant confrontation with one of our residents of the location, we ask local residents to always report this to us.”
- One of the residents says that at least two dealers live in the daycare on Poeldijkstraat itself, is this correct?
“People with an addiction live at the location. Our house rules state that dealing is not allowed. If we get signals that this happens, we will talk.”
- Residents say that there is aggression and shouting on and around Poeldijkstraat every day, does HVO-Querido also have this image?
“We guide a vulnerable group of people, which sometimes involves disruption. That can lead to incidents, and we find that annoying for the environment. It is about a limited number of residents; usually it goes well. We continue to work with the municipality and the police to limit nuisance as much as possible and are always willing to discuss this with local residents.”
- One of the residents says that HVO-Querido itself also thinks that the location is too large for this neighborhood, is this correct?
“The location on the Poeldijkstraat was developed at a time when large -scale facilities were common. In the meantime, together with the municipality of Amsterdam – we share the vision that small -scale living is better at the needs of some of the residents. That is why we have been looking for a long time, along with the municipality, for an alternative location for some of the residents. That is not easy in this moment. HVO querido as the municipality.
